چکیده
The present paper aims to study the behavior of tailor welded blanks subjected a single point incremental forming (SPIF) process from an experimental view. This was chosen deform truncated cone shapes AA1050 aluminum alloy with different thicknesses. A uniaxial tensile test performed determine mechanical characteristics alloy. Initial tests implicated use variable wall angle parts which were processed on unwelded sheet for determination material and forces. Afterwards, wolfram inert gas (WIG) welding technique used joining two thicknesses either through one pass side, or by both sides. conclusion this indicates that one-sided cannot be deformed successfully without fracture. In case two-sided blanks, results showed desired depth 25 mm can reached successfully. SPIF process, if must deformed, then suitable method is weld

Investigation on Formability of Tailor-Welded Blanks in Incremental Forming
Steel laser tailor-welded blanks (TWBs) are produced by end-to-end joining of base sheets using different welding methods. In this article, the formability of laser TWBs of St12 and St14 with thicknesses of 1 mm and 1.5 in single point incremental forming process were experimentally and numerically investigated. First, the forming limit wall angle was experimentally determined for each of the b...
متن کاملThe Effects of Forming Parameters on the Single Point Incremental Forming of 1050 Aluminum Alloy Sheet
The single point incremental forming (SPIF) is one of the dieless forming processes which is widely used in the sheet metal forming. The correct selection of the SPIF parameters influences the formability and quality of the product. In the present study, the Gurson-Tvergaard Needleman (GTN) damage model was used for the fracture prediction in the numerical simulation of the SPIF process of alum...
متن کاملInfluence of gas tungsten arc welding parameters on the formability of aluminum tailor welded blanks
Welding method and its parameters has an important effect on the formability and mechanical properties of tailor welded blanks(TWBs). In this study gas tungsten arc welding(GTAW) is used to joint aluminum TWBs. Aluminum TWBs consist of 6061 aluminum sheets with different thickness of 1mm and 2mm. Main parameters of GTAW consist of welding current, pressure of shielding gas, welding speed and di...
متن کاملFinite element analysis of tailor-welded blanks
A typical tailor-welded blank (TWB) is composed of several base metals, which might have di!erent mechanical properties as well as thickness. Moreover, a TWB contains a heat-a!ected zone (HAZ) which has quite di!erent mechanical properties from base materials. The forming behaviors of TWBs have been widely studied since they were "rst developed as a way of using collectible o!al. They are often...
متن کاملInvestigation of Springback Angle in Single Point Incremental Forming Process on Explosive Welded Cu/St/Cu Multilaye
Nowadays, the role of light weight materials has grown up in important industries such as aerospace and biomechanics, but before the appliance, their strength should be increased. A modern way to increase this factor along with the lightweight factoris using bimetal sheets, hence, the design of multilayer sheets has been very much considered recently. In this study, explosive welded Cu/St/Cu mu...
